Review: (#1) A generally vacuous design that employs color and overlay well. It isn’t a work of great art, but it’s interesting enough to be distinctive in the marketplace.

(#2) A traditional poster design done either by a brilliant artist or a terrific computer program is the most fascinating I’ve seen from those who like to use hand-drawn posters for indie cinema releases.

(#3) Like a series of color swatches at a pain store, each square is a slight shift in tone that makes for a most daring combination of elements.

Trailer Rating: C / C+ / C+ / B-

Review: (#1 & #2) Here we have another pair of green- and red-band trailers where they key difference is language. While typically the trailers don’t benefit one way or the other from such posturing, the red band trailer for this film is more compelling simply because it doesn’t seem afraid to launch itself full-throated into the R-rated elements of its dialogue.

(#3) While it’s not quite Single White Female, it almost has that kind of vibe had that original film been a comedy with no attempted murder in it. That makes for a fascinating departure for the relentlessly bleak indie releases we’ve seen a lot of lately.

(#4) Not particularly reminiscent of the prior designs, this trailer puts forth plenty of potentially humorous moments, but tempers them with the stalker aesthetic that it so desperately needs.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
