From IMDb: “Everyone deserves a great love story. But for Simon it’s complicated: no-one knows he’s gay and he doesn’t know who the anonymous classmate is that he’s fallen for online. Resolving both issues proves hilarious, scary and life-changing.”

Review: (#1) While it uses the tired red motif that’s dominated recent poster designs, the tagline and “coming out 2018” note are clever enough.
(#2) A dull background with characters that feel a bit forcefully inserted makes for a mediocre design.
(#3) This film has relied heavily on simple designs with seemingly teen-targeted aesthetics, but those aesthetics aren’t particularly memorable or compelling.
Trailer Rating: B+ / B-

Review: (#1) It’s not often you see a coming of age coming out story that looks as fun as this one is. Although the last scenes of the trailer feel utterly tacked on, they are completely hilarious, which could mean a movie that is worth the time to watch.
(#2) The humor of the first trailer has been altered for the second outing and everything feels a bit more stale. Like the new poster, it all feels a bit forced. While there’s still potential, interest might be dampened a bit by this trailer.
