Review: (#1) This is one of the ugliest designs for a major motion picture I’ve seen in some time. The garish color combination is tacky and the terrible lighting make this live-action adventure look like a poorly composed stop-motion animated film.

(#2) A rich palette is on display in this poster, but it also feels wholly unnatural and poorly balanced.

Review: (#1) There are lots of interesting effects, but the trailer almost certainly looks like a weak effort, with an uninteresting child lead and some meager voice acting.

(#2) The visual effects look atrocious in this listless and action-starved trailer. If you’ve already seen Disney’s The Jungle Book, covering the same material, there’s nothing in this trailer that will tell you that seeing the film is of utmost importance.

Oscar Prospects:

It looks like a visual effects and sound feast, but beyond that, I suspect it won’t make much of an Oscar dent.
