From IMDb: “Slender Man tells the story of a tall, thin horrifying figure with unnaturally long arms and a featureless face, who is reputed to be responsible for the haunting and disappearance of countless children and teens.”

Poster Rating: C+

Review: Suggesting long arms without actually depicting them is an interesting concept as is the fogged-up window with the water rivulets. The title might have been better encapsulated if it were drawn onto the window through the water droplets, but the design is satisfactory without that.

Trailer Rating: B- / C+

Review: (#1) When you know the story, it becomes an odd situation for the trailer to utterly avoid the physical incarnation that gives the film its title. Yet, the trailer does a solid job conveying the horrific elements while making the film feel different from every other horror flick out there, which could help sell it.

(#2) It looks both more original and more like a standard-issue supernatural horror film than it probably intends to be. This is likely to give the film a sense of inventiveness that isn’t quite there.
