Review: (#1) If you’re fans already, this should appeal to you; however, that awful white background and the seeming in-jokes filter through it don’t make a lot of sense to the uninitiated. (#2) Set within the same comic empire as Justice League, this play on that design is a worthy choice that draws your attention and entices you to look for more information on it.

(#3-#7) These character posters may not look appealing visually, but they have an interesting thematic connection to the plot, which gives them a bit of a boost. (#8) For a cartoon, this design works well enough. It features the heroes and their villain and ties in modestly well to the storyline.

Trailer Rating: C / B

Review: (#1) This teaser trailer lacks sufficient information about the film to make a judgment about it, which won’t exactly enthuses non-Teen Titans Go! fans. Building early interest, though, is crucial and this doesn’t accomplish that.

(#2) With a more clear vision of the plot, the film has a lot more going for it than previously expected. That doesn’t make it look like a must-see picture, but it certainly makes it look better than the vast majority of DCEU films that have so far been released.

Oscar Prospects:

If the Animated Feature category is as sparse this year as it was last, then it could be a player, but in a stronger year, it won’t be.
