Release Date:

October 17, 2014

Synopsis:

From IMDb: “A pair of former high school sweethearts reunite after many years when they return to visit their small hometown.”

Poster: C+

Review: We’ve seen the design before and the reflection of the title in the water is unbearably cheesy, but the design at least tries to keep the colors pleasing and the layout traditional, but functional.

Trailer: C- / D+

Review: (#1) We start out with the kind of trailer that highlights the unoriginal nature of the story. While it adds the twist of lost loves reuniting years later, it can’t escape the general feeling of ennui. (#2) Then they come out with the poster that highlights everything that’s wrong with this genre of filmmaking. It’ the romantic drama for the undiscerning viewer who doesn’t mind being force-fed the same unconvincing, prettily-packaged romantic drivel that’s neither revolutionary or actually romantic.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
