Review: (#1) Maybe this appeals to aborigines in Australia, but it has zero to do with chess and even less to do with compelling an audience to see it.

(#2) The first poster had little to do with chess, so it’s gratifying to see that they’ve decided to shift the focus to a knight with tribal stylistic elements. The poster still feels like wasted space, but at least it’s a more visually appealing waste.

Trailer Rating: C

Review: Meandering, bland and missing that spark that makes it seem worthwhile, this trailer doesn’t have the level of impact needed to make it a hit, even on the specialty circuit.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
