Review: (#1) White backgrounds are utterly distracting. That causes a problem when you’re trying to sell your film. The accompanying characters don’t look either engaged or compelling. (#2) While the second design suffers from some of the same issues as the first, the color scheme is more appealing and more detailed. The characters are also positioned in a more interesting and plot-presented way.

Trailer Rating: B

Review: A drama that seems mysterious on the surface thanks to trailer editing that refuses to give anything away. There are some hints, and while they aren’t subtle, they aren’t shockingly portrayed. Whether it plays well outside the foreign language subset of specialty box office viewers remains to be seen.

Oscar Prospects:

A finalists for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar, it could easily be nominated. Asghar Farhadi has done well with the Academy in the past. A win, however, doesn’t look likely.
