Review: (#1-#2) This pair of character posters is dull, colorless, and kind of ugly.

(#3-#5) This series of three posters, two bisecting the film’s stars into commonplace and espionage attires with the final a combination of the two, is fitting even if not visually appealing.

(#6) International destinations. Killer comedians. It works surprisingly well even if it’s surprisingly simple. (#7) It does capture the essences of the characters, but it’s also not terribly awe-inspiring. (#8-#9) This set of character posters is messy and overly busy. (#10-#11) This pair of character posters is minimalist and unappealing. (#12-#13) This pair of character posters are water color at its least interesting. (#14) It has a lackluster old world charm with a few interesting details.

Trailer Rating: C+ / B-

Review: (#1) It’s interesting that spy comedies are more common with female leads than spy thrillers themselves. Unfortunately, unlike Spy, this comedy looks like it’s trying way too hard to be funny and the end result is something less than what it should be, or even what its stars deserve.

(#2) More detail about what the audience is in for gives them something to enjoy without being too forthcoming about the need for a film like this, other than the humor.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
