A dismal slate of new releases all performed poorly, including the heavily promoted Premium Rush, which as the week’s highest ranked new release, finishing 8th wasn’t impressive. The Expendables 2 took its second week at the top spot, assuredly going down during the Labor Day holiday weekend, even though it is usually the weakest holiday of the year.
