How high will the Avengers sequel climb at the box office? There’s zero competition, so it could be huge.
Individual Commentaries
Wesley Lovell: I’m less excited about the new Avengers movie than I expected to be.
Peter J. Patrick: The latest entry in a popular franchise and the latest version of a classic novel first filmed in 1909 could make this a better than usual week at the movies.
Tripp Burton: Two of this year’s more anticipated films come out this week, although they are on opposite sides of the spectrum and are anticipated by opposite crowds, mostly!
Thomas LaTourrette: There are two very different movies opening that will appeal to those divergent crowds. Each sounds good in its own way, so there should be something worth seeing this weekend. Or for weeks to come as the Avengers movie will be around a long time.
