JACK GOES BOATING

	Plot Summary: A limo driver begins learning new life lessons after a successful blind date leads him down the path of love while the couple who introduced them begin to succumb to their own problems. Release Date: September 17, 2010

	Rating: B Commentary: The trailer tries hard not to feel like a common romantic drama and there’s just enough hint of a stronger plot that suggests this could be a decent late-year feature. Philip Seymour Hoffman isn’t one of my favorite actors, but we’ll see how this one goes.	Rating: B- Commentary: It has a nice flow of color, but is a bit bare. However, that the poster doesn’t rely on an actor’s image to sell itself is a bonus.
	Link: Apple Trailers Oscar Chances: Depending on how critics respond, Hoffman could be a contender as could the rest of the cast including former nominee Amy Ryan. Writing and directing honors could be a stretch, but a 10-wide slate could benefit the film with the right notices.

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD, poster #2

	Plot Summary: Discovering the woman of his dreams, a geek soon finds out he must defeat her seven powerful exes. Release Date: August 13, 2010

	Previous Preview: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World	Rating: B Commentary: It’s a pretty fun way to display the cast without seeming too staid and traditional. Although I’m not in love with the color choices of the background or border, it fits the themes of the film quite nicely.
