On Wednesdays, we preview all of the upcoming new wide and limited releases hitting the theaters the coming weekend. On Fridays, we’ll now tell you what you should see. We pose two questions each week to our contributors and their responses are posted below.

1. Which of the three new wide releases would you choose to recommend above the others?
I Am Number Four, without a doubt. The other two just feel like stale premises wrapped in shiny paper.
2. Which of the seven new limited releases would you choose to recommend above the others?
I can’t say that I’m really that interested in any of them, but the one I’m most likely to see is Vanishing on 7th Street.

Peter J. Patrick

1. Which of the three new wide releases would you choose to recommend above the others?
I Am Number Four if anything because it looks entertainingly dumb as opposed to just plain dumb like the rest of the week’s releases.
2. Which of the seven new limited releases would you choose to recommend above the others?
None. I’d watch a DVD instead.
