Wesley Lovell (WL): I’ve always been a fan of this franchise even at its worst, so I’m curious to see how they update it without Wes Craven’s input. Peter J. Patrick (PP): The series reboot looks interesting enough, we’ll have to see if lives up to the original. Thomas LaTourette (TL): The first one was okay, but 25 years later I am not certain why there is another sequel.

Wesley Lovell (WL): The trailer isn’t terribly affecting, so I’m not enticed to see it. Peter J. Patrick (PP): Gaslighting drama looks more monotonous than scary. Thomas LaTourette (TL): The trailer starts well, but does not look better than any other horror film by the end.

Wesley Lovell (WL): It looks like a fairly commonplace indie drama, so not much to hold my interest. Peter J. Patrick (PP): There doesn’t seem to much there with this one. Thomas LaTourette (TL): It’s probably a good role for Vanessa Kirby, but it sounds like the rest of the film wanders too much without having a true plot.
