Poster Rating: A-

Review: It isn’t quite the best poster of the year, but it’s certainly one of the most stylish. Putting a woman between the two leads is a strong statement on her position in their lives and is only one aspect of the poster’s quality.

Trailer Rating: B

Review: I’m not certain this film will be much, but with Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen at the reins, it could very well be an event. The action in the trailer is a bit disconnected, but there’s enough to suggest it could be a terrific film.

Oscar Prospects:

I could see this film being a wild success at the Oscars. I could also see it fade like so many other westerns in recent years. However, what kind of statement would it be to place this film in Best Picture the year after a feature that focused on the death of the western was awarded Best Picture!
