Poster Rating: B
Review: More impressive than the trailer itself, this poster is evocative, symbolic and pleasing to the eye. Placing a subdued Ed Norton in front of a beefed up version of himself as the Hulk was a good decision. The colors blend nicely, creating a detailed piece of art.
Trailer Rating: C-; C-
Review: Of all the people they could have gotten to play the Hulk in this scarily-quick franchise reboot, Edward Norton was probably not the best choice. And this trailer does very little to disprove that theory. This is probably the worst casting of the Summer superhero movie circuit, especially when compared with Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man and Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight.
Not much more impressive than the first trailer, this second one makes it seem like two long sequences pasted together and may give the audience the idea that they would rather watch the first film again. Two long chase scenes appear to dominate the film and that just isn’t very appealing, but audiences could love the simplicity because it allows them to more easily shut their brains off.
Oscar Prospects:
Depending on how the film fares at the box office, this could be a contender for Visual Effects or it could be entirely forgotten at Oscar time.
