On Wednesdays, we preview all of the upcoming new wide and limited releases hitting the theaters the coming weekend. On Fridays, we’ll now tell you what you should see. We pose two questions each week to our contributors and their responses are posted below.

Wesley Lovell

1. Which of the three new wide releases would you choose to recommend above the others?
Gotta go with the big, lovable cats. The last Disney Nature Earth Day documentary I saw, 2007’s Earth, was a gorgeous film with plenty of revealing facts about our world (even if you can find most of those facts on the internet or on Discover Channel). I’d give African Cats the chance simply because it looks quite cute.
2. Are there any limited release features this week that you would recommend (and why)?
Incendies has the best chance of being solidly entertaining.

1. Which of the three new wide releases would you choose to recommend above the others?
Water for Elephants was a best-seller. The film looks ravishing and worth a couple of hours of my time.
2. Are there any limited release features this week that you would recommend (and why)?
Last year’s Best Foreign Film nominee Incendies, but only if playing near-by. Otherwise seems to be worth waitign for DVD or cable TV.

1. Which of the three new wide releases would you choose to recommend above the others?
If you like nature documentaries, go for African Cats; if you like Madea films, Tyler Perry has a new one for you; everyone else, go check out Water for Elephants.
2. Are there any limited release features this week that you would recommend (and why)?
Incendies and The Greatest Movie Ever Sold look like solid efforts to me.
