There’s potential for two big hits this weekend. 80 for Brady and Knock at the Cabin both have the kind of pedigree that could merit strong box office play, but ultimately, M. Night Shyamalan’s latest film seems much more likely to be a hit since it has the least downside potential of the pair.

Individual Commentary:
Wesley Lovell (WL): I don’t like American football in general and I detest cheaters, so I’m not the least bit interested in this regarding of the wonderful quartet of ladies in the cast. Peter J. Patrick (PP): Looks like a silly waste of talent for the film’s four old pros. Thomas LaTourette (TL): It looks like a game cast wasted on a mediocre comedy. A pity not to give them something better to do.

Wesley Lovell (WL): Although M. Night Shyamalan has earned praise in recent years for his efforts, he’s yet to make a film with a premise that has gotten me intrigued. This one might be it, but I’m still not completely sold. Peter J. Patrick (PP): An interesting premise but we’ve been disappointed in Shyamalan so many times now, I doubt it’s another Sixth Sense. Thomas LaTourette (TL): It looks decent, but with any M. Night Shyamalan film, one expects a twist at the end that will negate some of its earlier interest.

Wesley Lovell (WL): While my hope is that the film actually does something unique, the trailer doesn’t give me confidence. Peter J. Patrick (PP): This one’s gotten good reviews, but it looks like a poor grandchild of Rosemary’s Baby. Thomas LaTourette (TL): It takes raising a newborn to higher depths of hell, but does not look that interesting.

Wesley Lovell (WL): It’s a style of animation that I don’t care much for and the trailer did nothing to change my mind. Peter J. Patrick (PP): I have no idea what this is supposed to be. Thomas LaTourette (TL): The very short trailer just looks like bad anime about fighting for no real reason.

Individual Commentary:
Wesley Lovell (WL): I somewhat like Adam Pally, but this trailer is unfunny and the situation uninteresting. Plus it looks so hopelessly cheesy (and not the good kind of cheese). Peter J. Patrick (PP): Looks like an endearingly weird little comedy. Thomas LaTourette (TL): This looks like a very unfunny COVID comedy with not much going for it.
