The summer season has begun and Thor is undoubtedly going to dominate the weekend.

Consensus

Below is a list of what we have come to a general consensus on. The number in parens represents the percentage of our contributors who agree with the statement.

Jumping the Broom: We aren’t the audience for this film (100%), nor is the Academy (100%).
Something Borrowed: Most of us can’t see this as being anything more than ordinary (67%), we agree that Oscar won’t pay it any mind (100%).
Thor: A surprisingly split decision on whether or not to watch it and when (33%), yet we are unified in believing it could be a tech nominee at the Oscars (100%).
The Beaver: Another split decision on Mel Gibson’s talking beaver movie (33%) and we aren’t in full agreement on whether Oscar will care or not (67% not).

Thoughts I was already on the No Mel Gibson bandwagon for a number of years, but you couldn’t pay me to see this one.	Thoughts Jodie Foster is a decent director but Mel Gibson’s continuing persona non grata status makes this one difficult to work up much steam for. DVD, if at all.	Thoughts The screenplay has been floating around, and highly praised, for years, and the film looks like a lot of fun.	Thoughts PENDING
