Review: (#1, C) Having the empty sky seems fitting to the film’s aesthetic. It also seems to mirror a style of old biker movies like Easy Rider. That said, it’s not terribly appealing to anyone who isn’t a fan of motorcycles or bikers.

(#2, B-) The images might feel balanced but they aren’t as appealing as they should be and the lighting is off on each of them creating a disorienting feeling.

Review: (#1, C+) With shows like Sons of Anarchy, the motorcycle road gang genre has seen a mini-revitalization. It’s clear the film is taking some inspiration from films like Easy Rider, but the drama in the trailer is weakly conveyed such that it feels like a rather tepid effort.

(#2, B) Turning from a film about a biker club to one of drama featuring a biker club using its power of fear to facilitate its own financial success allows the film to create a more appealing premise that audiences might be intrigued to see.

(#3, C) The plot has been largely excised from this trailer and while enough of it stays to explain the situation to audiences, none of the peril or excitement of the second trailer made it through making for a rather dull experience.

Oscar Prospects:

It has a small amount of potential, but it isn’t likely to manifest too strongly.
