This week we have an excellent example of studio counter-programming with the male demo-leaning Priest pitting itself against the female-leaning Bridesmaids.

Consensus

Below is a list of what we have come to a general consensus on. The number in parens represents the percentage of our contributors who agree with the statement.

Bridesmaids: The general thought is that this looks like a fairly bland comedy (67%) and that it’s not Oscar’s kind of flick (100%).
Priest: Another film not thought of highly (67%) with no Oscar hopes (100%).
Cameraman: We agree you should watch, just not when (33%) and that it’s not likely up Oscar’s alley (67%).

Thoughts This is all old material with mostly interviews from people long dead. Looks suspiciously like the bonus material accompanying a DVD of one of Cardiff’s films.	Thoughts Jack Cardiff was a brilliant cinematographer, and this looks like a fitting tribute to him.	Thoughts PENDING
