Review: (#1, C+) It’s an underwhelming design for a film about boundless creativity. The pile of art supplies aren’t interesting and the family poorly placed at the top is likewise uninspired but at least the giant two-legged monster at the top of the design does a better job selling the film.

Trailer Rating: B- / B

Review: (#1, B-) The film starts off giving the impression that it’s about a troubled young girl but gives away into what could be a kid-friendly story about loss and acceptance but those critters and the violent nature of those ideas keep it outside the realm of kiddie fiction. Adults watching this might be somewhat intrigued but also largely confused.

(#2, B) A striking trailer that continues to allow the mystery of the film to shine through while also giving the audience a better understanding of the premise. It’s new information from the first trailer while still feeling like an evolution of themes rather than a repetition.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
