Review: (#1, C) Focusing on the titular character might create a sense of perspective for the film’s focus but it’s a bland effort with exploding dirt and fiery affectations that don’t play well together, especially when arranged so underwhelmingly. The title logo might tie into the explosion but is using a solar foundation that doesn’t fit.

Review: (#1, C) Other than being a biopic of a pre-presidential George Washington, there’s not enough information on display to convey what type of movie this is. The studio behind it has a questionable reputation in terms of its religious-heavy output so one has to be cautious its depiction may not be entirely authentic. The trailer never quite explains what the intended purpose is.
(#2, C+) If this trailer had been shown on television back in the 1970s to highlight a miniseries, it would work somewhat well. However, the dullness of the content, the weakness of the acting, and the thinly-veiled political elements don’t generate much excitement except in those who don’t mind a sanitized, watered-down historical biopic.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
