Prospects for Halloween weekend don’t look good. Since the horror fans will be out that evening or will be worn out on scary movies, and with no scary movies releasing, the likelihood of a major box office debut is minimal, especially since the options aren’t inspiring. Anniversary looks like a dud, Stitch Head looks mediocre at best, and Bugonia isn’t likely to have much broad appeal. In the end, the Chain Saw Man anime will possibly stick at the top of the box office while Stitch Head will most likely be the most successful new wide release.
