Review: (#1, C) You’d be forgiven for thinking this was a zombie film with a lone samurai standing atop a hill of corpses but it isn’t. The color scheme is pointlessly bland. (#2, C) This makes it easier to see the titular samurai but it does nothing to sell the film itself.

Review: (#1, C) A bloody but thematically bereft martial arts film that doesn’t seem to know what it wants the audience to know about it prior to going in. There’s just not enough here to engage viewers in a measurable way and without an understanding of the premise, there’s not a lot of excitement that can be generated.
