None of the three new wide releases have much prospects at the box office but Ella McCay could do the best of them all, though that’s also uncertain.

OTHER RELEASES

We are only looking at films that have had trailers released on Rotten Tomatoes’ trailer YouTube Channels. Below are some other films that are releasing this weekend that we haven’t considered.

Franz (Limited)
The King of Color (Limited)
Mowgli (Limited)
Not Without Hope (Limited)
Scarlet (Oscar Qualifying Run)
Turbulence (Limited)

WIDE RELEASES
DUST BUNNY ELLA MCCAY SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT

Dust Bunny

Wesley Lovell: It has a cute concept but nothing about the trailer is that interesting.

Pete Patrick: I’m too old for this kind of nonsense.

Thomas La Tourrette: I am dubious about this film.

Ella McCay

Wesley Lovell: It has an appealing cast even if initial reviews aren’t great.

Pete Patrick: James L. Brooks hasn’t made a good movie in more than thirty years, but we keep hoping.

Thomas La Tourrette: The trailer shows a good cast having a fun time. Hopefully the film is as good.

Silent Night, Deadly Night

Wesley Lovell: I remember watching the original back in the 1980s but cannot remember enough to be genuinely excited about it.

Pete Patrick: I hated the original, would probably hate the remake as well.

Thomas La Tourrette: Horror is not my favorite and nohing about this looks good.

LIMITED RELEASES
ATROPIA GOODBYE JUNE LONE SAMURAI RESURRECTION THIEVES HIGHWAY

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: Atropia is the only one of these I might consider watching.

Pete Patrick: Only Kate Winslet’s Goodbye June sparks some interest among this week’s crop of also-rans.

Thomas La Tourrette: Thieves has by far the most intriguing trailer, even if I am not sure what it is about. Goodbye June could be good, but anything with Helen Mirren has that possibility.
