Review: (#1, C+) Employing an ’80s VHS box art/poster aesthetic doesn’t work when the “monkey’s paw” is weird but underwhelming.

(#2, C+) With a lack of background details and a simplicity of purpose, the design isn’t terribly compelling but at least is sort of explains the title.

Review: (#1, C) If you could figure out what’s unique about this film from the trailer, you’d be lucky as it looks like nearly every other horror film teaser of recent vintage without a hook to engage a distrustful audience.

(#2, B-) This trailer feels like something where they pulled moments from every scene of the film and threw it together hoping it would make some measure of sense. While you could probably suss out the entire plot, there’s so much thrown at the viewer, it’s difficult to parse it all. That will work for some audiences by creating a small amount of tension and mystery.
