Greenland 2: Migration might have been thought to be the week’s top contender for box office champ but Primate taps into a market that hasn’t seen a lot of action in recent weeks so it could be a surprise topper.

OTHER RELEASES

We are only looking at films that have had trailers released on Rotten Tomatoes’ trailer YouTube Channels. Below are some other films that are releasing this weekend that we haven’t considered.

I Was a Stranger (Expands Wide)
Is This Thing On? (Expands Wide)
All That’s Left Of You (Limited)
Magellan (Limited)
My Neighbor Adolf (Limited)
OBEX (Limited)
Oscar Shaw (Limited)
The Raja Saab (Wide)
Starbright (Limited)
The Voice of Hind Rajab (Limited)

WIDE RELEASES
GREENLAND 2: MIGRATION PRIMATE

Greenland 2: Migration

Wesley Lovell: I wasn’t terribly interested in the prior apocalyptic film so this one isn’t on my radar.

Pete Patrick: Haven’t seen the original, no interest in seeing the sequel.

Thomas La Tourrette: I do not remember hearing about the original film and the trailer of this one does not sell it.

Primate

Wesley Lovell: Something about this concept turns me off. It’s probably the twist on chimps as crazed killers idea.

Pete Patrick: Looks like another crappy horror film.

Thomas La Tourrette: It has a slightly unique twist but I have no desire to see this animal horror film.

LIMITED RELEASES
DEAD MAN’S WIRE I WAS A STRANGER

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: Little about Gus Van Sant’s latest film looks interesting.

Pete Patrick: Both of these were well-reviewed festival hits and might be worth seeking out.

Thomas La Tourrette: The reviews of Dead Man’s Wire make it seem a possibility but the trailer  not that exciting. I Was a Stranger should be topical and riveting.
