Review: (#1, C) Playing into the premise of the trailer, this design is lackluster and has very little of interest in it. Even the tagline being evident in the spectogram doesn’t add much of interest.
(#2, C+) At least the design has moved into a more creative path even if it’s only slightly interesting. The tagline is almost too indistinct while the red-hued protagonist faces a similar fate.

Review: (#1, C-) There could be an ARG (Alternate Reality Game) in this trailer, with the music played backwards and other sounds intertwined, but there’s something tedious and underwhelming about a trailer that requires outside investigation and there’s not much present that will appeal to general audiences.
(#2, C+) After the confusing prior trailer, this one doesn’t quite alleviate that but at least does a better job setting up the premise even if the horror that’s supposed to be felt is rather superficial.
(#3, C-) We’re back to the same style as the first trailer and it feels like more of the same, not something refreshing or new.
(#4, C+) It almost seems like they are remaking their previews in the same order. The first and third were nearly identical and now the second and fourth are going for the same. Yes, it’s nice to get the idea of what the film’s core premise is but it doesn’t make the movie more appealing.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
