Review: (#1, C) Fuzzy, close-up and nothing of interest to be seen.
(#2, C) The earthy color scheme is a refreshing change but it doesn’t create much in the way of excitement. It’s dull and listless even with a screaming child at its core. The tagline is also cringey.
(#3-#6, C+) The format-specific designs are more interesting visually than the other efforts so far but they lack rich details and compelling images. Small credit to the pyramid design for standing out in the sea of sepia-toned designs but it ultimately lacked detail and vibrancy. (#7, C) Then we finish with something that we’ve seen before in slightly different arrangement and nothing terribly original.
Trailer Rating: B- / B-

Review: (#1, B-) Going for a highly stylized horror feel without the typical jump scares or horrific moments, rather choosing sometimes unsettling images, is an interesting way to approach this but it won’t entirely work.
(#2, B-) The sense of dread is found throughout the trailer with only a handful of scenes cobbled together to create a sense of purpose and premise. The idea looks more compelling visually than it does on paper yet it relies entirely on familiar horror tropes to excite.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
