Review: (#1, C) A cheap effort for a Netflix film. Clearly, the budget was blown on the effects in the film because there’s not much about this design that’s appealing. Sure, the titular machine is in the background while our protagonist is in the fore but the looming presence doesn’t add much excitement.

Review: (#1, C) If you’re excited about getting action fans to the theater as well as people who love alien films, you might have a decent batch of people to appeal to. Unfortunately, the predictable trajectory of the trailer suggests a movie that is significantly predictable. It also calls into question the hyper-masculine approach to the trailer where they spend a moment looking at the only female ranger in a dire amount of fear, a deplorable decision by the filmmakers who put it in the film and the trailermakers who put it in the trailer.
