Review: (#1, C+) The perpendicular angle creates a dynamic sense of unease with the viewer even if it is just a tilt of an existing scene from the film. It’s an interesting choice even if there aren’t sufficient details to make it compelling. (#2, C+) While insetting the late lover into the title which is infused into the sky like a heavenly connection is interesting, the design is overall rather underwhelming looking calculated rather than creative. (#3, C) As Dolby designs continue to degrade in quality, this is probably the worst one yet with just the romance angle giving any enticement. It looks like a mediocre novel cover.

Trailer Rating: C+

Review: (#1, C+) While romantic dramas follow a certain common path, and this film looks to tread it as well, it twists the conceit just a little to establish the heroine as an ex-con rather than an accomplished woman meeting a small town man and falling in love. Whether that change to the foundation of the story has a marked impact on the expected trajectory of the film remains to be seen.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
