Review: (#1, C+) Thematically, it fits, visually it’s overbearing with the sharp red lettering over muted color schemes. Although there is some green included to make it seem less like a formulaic horror poster but it is so washed out as to be underwhelmed by the titling.

Trailer Rating: C / C+

Review: (#1, C) It’s difficult to tackle school shootings in a conscientious and responsible way and little in this trailer suggests that kind of attention to detail. There are remarks about it being a film of the time but the accompanying content doesn’t support those claims.

(#2, C+) With more information about the plot, it is still doesn’t quite feel like a satire as it has been described by some. There are elements to the plot that might prove interesting, especially regarding radicalization. It might even tackle thorny issues about identity and hypermasculine narratives but it still feels like an underwhelming feature.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
