Review: (#1, C) It should only be a matter of time before Jason Statham does a fully underwater action adventure. He went from the seashore lighthouse film to this on-the-sea effort. He already came out of the sea from his shark era so maybe they are trying to tie him back to that but the effort is dull.
(#2, C+) A oblique title always draws the eye. Unfortunately, the content of the poster isn’t very exciting and it’s more difficult to read Jason Statham’s name above the title. An interesting choice but could have been better executed.
(#3, C+) At some point in his career, someone probably suggested that Jason Statham is the modern Bruce Willis and that idea had to have come into the head of this poster’s designer as it tries to take the iconic Die Hard poster and use it for a film about explosions on something audiences aren’t easily going to be able to identify. A solid concept with flawed execution. (#4, C) With this design, it became clear that the film’s advertising team wanted to try to make the film look like other films and this focused on Korean thrillers as a source and that obviousness makes them all seem desperately, especially when it is absolutely not a spoof of those kinds of movies.

Review: (#1, C) Jason Statham is the Mad Libs action actor. You take a mediocre core story, change the instigating incident, pick a new locale, and hope audiences don’t notice or at least don’t care. Nothing here suggests a cut above his prior films.
(#2, C) Little has changed since we saw the last trailer. There’s only a slight attempt at suggesting there are important characters other than Statham’s and that doesn’t improve interest in something that’s an incredibly niche product for the small number of people who enjoy Statham’s actioners.
