Review: (#1, C+) It’s a pretty design with an interesting motif of either stealing the moon or setting it in place for maximum effect. It’s hard to tell without the film’s context. The sad mouse and happy mouse are subtle enough to give it some detail contemplate but is otherwise inefficient in its use of space. (#2, C+) A bit more confusion with this stage-set concept that doesn’t make sense with the central figure seemingly approaching the curtain but the background making it look like he’s leaving rather than going out on stage. Then the backdrop doesn’t make sense. That creative chicanery might encourage discussion but may just require a view of the film to have it make sense. (#3, B-) There’s a Snow White-esque quality to this effort that also digs into the theatrical motif of the proscenium. We’re still missing context but it at least makes more sense than the prior. (#4, C+) This looks more like a scene capture than the first design, which uses a similar positioning for the mice but apart from it being more mainstream, it doesn’t quite give the viewer any concept of what the film is about.

Review: (#1, C) Even if you understand Spanish or can read the subtitles quickly enough, there’s little in this trailer that reveals what kind of movie it is nor what is redeeming about it for modern audiences to get up and go out to see it.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
