Review: (#1, C+) This is a bit of a cheap teaser. Nothing from the film itself, just a reference back to the original film’s suggestion of a sequel title: Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money and why they wouldn’t be getting that title and instead going for something less interesting. It’s nice to see Mel Brooks as his zany self and this will certainly set the expectations of fans of the original classic but it’s still a cop out of a teaser.

Oscar Prospects:

Best Visual Effects and Best Makeup & Hairstyling are both possible.
