Review: (#1, C) There is nothing impressive in this design. The vainglorious figure does strike the viewer hard and fits with the quote under the picture but that’s it’s only modestly redeeming quality and it doesn’t redeem much of anything.

Review: (#1, C) The cheesy conclusion to the trailer identifying the figure as Anthony Bourdain is such a miscalculation as it makes the lead up feel underwhelming. Knowing it’s about him going into the trailer would have given it a fresher dynamic rather than making it seem like a generic foodie drama. The content is underwhelming and overly familiar and even after learning it’s something of an early-age biopic for Bourdain, there’s not much excitement to it.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
