Review: (#1, C+) When focusing on scenes from films, it’s important not to feel like one. This one does a suitable job following that rule, limiting the viewer’s attention to the chained-crack in the door. It allows for filling the negative space without resorting to monochromatic efforts. (#2, C) The colors are bold but the art isn’t. The white lettering is at least easy to read across this shade of yellow but it doesn’t sell the film well.

Review: (#1, C+) A murder mystery set in Saudi Arabia is a unique event. Not only do few films set there reach cineplexes, ones with female leads are even more rare. The premise looks somewhat generic but the repressive societal setting of the film might give it some actual relevance.
