Review: (#1, C+) A girl with magical powers in a room of blue, purple, magenta, and cyan hues. It’s a sufficient starter but an insufficient descriptor. (#2, B-) Sticking with the purple and green but infusing yellow makes a more vibrant picture but the context is also diminished. An improvement in terms of color selection alone.

Review: (#1, C+) There comes a point in most Disneyphile lives where everything the studio puts out looks generic. There’s not much here to suggest something unique or exciting blending Turning Red with Encanto and not caring that there’s not much to make it feel unique. Early 2000s Disney is the vibe it’s giving.

Oscar Prospects:

The November release is a strong sign for Disney and will likely result in a Best Animated Feature nomination, possibly even a win if it’s good enough.
