Review: (#1-#11, B) Eschewing the typical bright colors of movie posters (at least ones that aren’t horror related), the designers chose deep reds, purples, and blacks with vibrant highlights to enliven these otherwise commonplace character posters.

Review: (#1, B) No teaser, just final trailer territory. The premise is laid out effectively and the action and effects looks quite exciting. The problem is that there’s just not enough to make this look like a generic teen fantasy adaptation crossed with elements of the movie Black Panther. For fans of the series this will be enough but to make it more broadly appealing, it needs to do better at setting the events apart from everything else we’ve seen in recent years.

Oscar Prospects:

Depending on the quality, this could be a major contender; however, based on the director’s prior attempts at Oscar attempts, they have universally failed so there are no guarantees.
