Review: (#1, B-) A nice stacking figure design that keeps the familiar visages up front but the main character gets the smallest image with the single setting image in the background. It works for a film with a small budget but won’t impress many.

(#2, C+) The tilt of the action element doesn’t add much to the design but at least the balance of characters is well handled even if the blending between them and the background and foreground is bad.

Review: (#1, B-) Small town violence in independent cinema is a familiar and overused concept. This trailer attempts to provide a unique twist on that concept with a bumbling deputy drawn into a web of danger and intrigue. It’s like taking Barney Fife and putting him into a John Sayles-style rural crime thriller but without the broad comedy. There’s just enough originality here to give one hope but not enough to build an audience.
