Review: (#1, C) You could probably guess from this design that they are mountain climbers but apart from Tom Hiddleston’s visage, there’s not much here to generate excitement in the viewer. (#2, C) This is a better identification of the premise with a climb to Mount Everest. The British and Nepalese flags are easily identifiable as well. Yet it still feels like a generic effort.

Review: (#1, C+) The trailer attempts to show where the film’s real life-inspiration comes from while establishing the biographical nature of the film. It wants to create tension and engagement but fails at both.

Oscar Prospects:

It has a cast that would play well with Oscar voters but doesn’t seem like the kind of movie to compete in a year like this one.
