Review: (#1, C) It would be rude to say there’s a lack of effort in this poster but it certainly seems like it. A hideous seafoam green background without texture; a generic Christmas tree; and a romantic triangle of smiling actors, carefully glossed, each wrapped in fake-looking Christmas lights. This is about as generic as you could possibly get.

Review: (#1, C) It has become apparent that Netflix wants to take down the Lifetime and Hallmark channels as the primary purveyor of idiotic Christmas story concepts. Although some elements of the trailer make a case for this being something slightly less generic than the aforementioned network films, the acting and predictable narrative direction seem intent on neutering that originality.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
