Review: (#1, C) You might make the Nazi connection in Neil Patrick Harris’s garb but it’s a stretch without the trailer’s information. The background at least has some slight details but considering it’s more of a wintry theme than the blood red overlay would otherwise suggest, the tacky yellow just ends up clashing and making the whole affair unappealing.

Review: (#1, C) Exploring the film’s premise in a straightforward way doesn’t necessarily generate interest, asking the viewer to hope that the acting isn’t as bad as what’s on display in the trailer and the action being more than Disney-channel-level material.

(#2, C) Because the current film isn’t worth exploring without explaining Becky’s origins, the trailermakers spend far too much time recapping the prior film The Wrath of Becky before digging briefly and underwhelmingly into the new film’s premise. Whereas the first trailer at least built dislike of Neil Patrick Harris’s character, this one almost forgets he’s even the antagonist of the film.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
