Review: (#1, C+) A blood-covered leg creates a Friday the 13th-esque detail that immediately sets this aside as a horror film but there’s little here that will engage potential viewers if they weren’t already interested.

Review: (#1, C+) Horror trailers use similar patterns to sell audiences and this one aims for the slow boiling concept with a simply cut version of a scene from the film. The tension created as the unknown assailant stands menacingly on the shore, confusing the viewer and then leaps into the water to create a race against time. That level of suspense will engage the viewer more than a rapid succession of underwhelming frights like most modern horror films go for.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
