This may be the first time Ryan Reynolds has not had a box office hit with an action film.
Fireflies in the Garden
Plot Summary: After a childhood of mental abuse by a seemingly careless father, a grown son returns home to tragedy as he must confront his father alone while his beloved mother lies dead in a mortuary. Release Date:October 14, 2011

Rating:C Commentary: It’s a fairly standard design with no exceptional life or depth. A great poster doesn’t have to display its cast to appeal to moviegoers and when they do (Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile for example), it’s done not only tastefully but with an eye for intricacy, detail and beauty.
Rating:B- Commentary: The trailer starts off strong, but as it plays drifts into melodrama and predictability. And from all appearances, it’s Emily Watson who carries the show, not star Ryan Reynolds.

This film is not so recent. I saw it in Europe last year. Reynolds was not famous then. It is quite good, actually. Still judging films on the basis of posters and trailers? You deserve to be made to watch ‘The tree of life’ three consecutive times.
A) the film hasn’t opened in the U.S. B) I review trailers and posters as a way to highlight upcoming films. C) I write many regular reviews of films. D) Ryan Reynolds has been famous for several years, so I’m not sure why you are saying he wasn’t famous a year ago.
