Spreading their awards ultra thin, The Tree of Life, which came in second to The Descendants for Best Picture, earned a total of three awards. Every other film earned only a single mention each. Director, Actor and Screenplay may be locked in for Oscar nominations according to LAFCA history with Actor being a surprisingly strong contender for the prize.
