On Sundays, we list the weekend’s upcoming films along with previews of trailers and posters. On Wednesdays, we preview all of the upcoming new wide and limited releases hitting the theaters the coming weekend. On Fridays, we’ll now tell you what you should see. We pose two questions each week to our contributors and their responses are posted below.

Wesley Lovell

1. Would you recommend readers see The Hunger Games?
Absolutely. Positively. Unreservedly. I love the book and if you haven’t read it, you owe it to yourself. Twilight was tween smut. This is serious dystopian drama with a romantic twist.
2. Are there any limited release features this week that you would recommend (and why)?
If I had to choose, I’d go with Musical Chairs just because it seems like the most original.

1. Would you recommend readers see The Hunger Games?
I have no doubt The Hunger Games will be a big box office sensation without any help from me.
2. Are there any limited release features this week that you would recommend (and why)?
None. This week’s limited releases all seem to appeal to niche audiences. If you can’t get into The Hunger Games, take your pick.

1. Would you recommend readers see The Hunger Games?
The Hunger Games is a terrific series of books that should translate very well to the screen.
2. Are there any limited release features this week that you would recommend (and why)?
The Raid looks to be a decent enough escapist film.
