We had a bit more participation this week, keep up the good work. Here are the answers to this week’s games. Please note the Week 1 Standings will be posted this afternoon once Actuals come in for the weekend box office. Congratulations to all of our participants.

Game: Identify the Poster

The correct answers were: The Color Purple (Negative Poster) and Kiss the Blood Off My Hands (Foreign Poster). Peter correctly answered both posters and Sam got The Color Purple correct (the negative image is pictured in full color at right).

Game: Film Mash-Up

We had no winner this week. It was a bit of a twist, but the mash-up was a combination of Citizen Ruth and Citizen Kane.

Game: Six Degrees of Oscar Separation

Both Alex S and Peter managed to link King Vidor with Renee Zellweger. Both linked King Vidor with Henry Fonda through War and Peace, but diverged significantly from there. Alex accomplished his connection in only three films. Peter did it in four. Congratulations to you both.

Game: Site Search

Once again, Sam correctly answered this question:

About which film did Wesley Lovell quip: “I’ve had to look up the premise of this film three times now, it keeps slipping my mind.”

Takers is definitely the film whose plot keeps slipping my mind.
