The endless flogging of Oz the Great and Powerful cements its position as the film to beat this coming weekend. Likely to be a bigger success than the poorly marketed Jack the Giant Slayer, a lot of Oz‘s ultimate success will be on how good it actually is.

Individual Commentaries

Wesley Lovell: I think Dead Man Down looks like the far and away the most interesting film this weekend.
Peter J. Patrick: A Wizard of Oz prequel and a post-WWII film based on fact make this a somewhat interesting week.
Tripp Burton: Some interesting films are finally trickling through, meaning that the new year of film can finally begin (2 months late!)
